Explain why a replacement is being considered
Include any test result, recommendation or previous battery invoice, with its date. Tell the team whether the car currently starts and whether the problem changed after charging or assistance. A dated test helps explain the request without assuming it proves the vehicle's condition today.
Bring the vehicle details
Share the registration, make and model, plus any battery reference you already have. Mention start-stop equipment if known. You do not need to remove covers or disconnect the battery to send an enquiry; let the team confirm fitment and procedures for the actual vehicle.
Confirm the battery specification and work
Battery suitability and any fitting procedures depend on the vehicle. Ask the team to confirm the intended battery, installation requirements, total price and any proposed further checks. A registration match or battery-shaped warning symbol is not enough to select a part or promise that replacement will solve the fault.
Make an arrival plan
Explain if the vehicle cannot be started or moved, and give the location only when discussing practical arrangements with the team. Do not assume the enquiry includes roadside attendance or collection. For an urgent breakdown, use your established breakdown-assistance route; the enquiry form is not an emergency service.
