Cookies for the service you request
Separate cookies keep your enquiry, account and private-link sessions apart. They contain random identifiers, not your name, registration or contact details. They are created when you use the relevant journey and last up to 24 hours; account access can end earlier. They are restricted to this site, sent over HTTPS and unavailable to page scripts.
| Cookie | Purpose |
|---|---|
__Host-turner_customer | Your vehicle, enquiry and service-request session |
__Host-turner_portal | Account sign-in and authorised account actions, including Apollo |
__Host-turner_apollo_visitor | Separate access to visitor Apollo conversations opened in this browser |
__Host-turner_links | Private estimate, inspection and preference-link access |
__Host-turner_mot_live | The separate MOT request journey, where available |
These cookies support the interaction you request, including sign-in and recovery of interrupted instructions. Signing out clears account access in this browser; it does not erase workshop records. Blocking essential storage may stop forms, sign-in or private links working. You can still read service information and telephone 01484 682288.
The visitor Apollo cookie is created only when you choose “Open visitor chat”, and expires after 24 hours. Checking availability does not create it. It contains a random identifier for a separate visitor session, not your account token or chat text. Choosing “Forget this browser’s chat” clears this cookie and removes the website’s visitor session and conversation list; it does not delete conversations held by LaunchControl. Account sign-out does not clear this separate visitor cookie.
Answers and interrupted requests
This tab uses turner-service-answers-v1 in session storage for service-specific answers and optional notes while you change services or reload. Relevant answers are cleared after a confirmed submission and are not reused if the website session or saved request changes.
turner-customer-pending and turner-mot-live-pending hold action references and recovery metadata for interrupted requests. These entries normally last for the tab session, without a separate expiry timer. Browser restoration can keep them after you close the browser. Clearing an uncertain request’s reference can prevent safe recovery; contact the garage before sending a duplicate.
Account content, sign-in codes, authentication tokens and Apollo chat text are not stored in browser local or session storage. Open account tabs can exchange a sign-out or account-change signal; this does not create a persistent account database in your browser.
Visitor-chat tabs can exchange a signal when you choose to forget the chat so they clear their displayed conversation. The visitor conversation list and sending-recovery records are encrypted on the website server, with retention explained in the privacy notice.
The car explorer
The car explorer keeps its animation state only in page memory. It does not read or write a cookie or browser-storage marker to remember that you have seen the arrival. An older version used a tab entry named turner:car-3d:v2 containing only seen; a remaining old entry is not read or reused by this version and can be removed through browser settings. It never contained account or contact details.
The explorer reads your reduced-motion and Save-Data preferences. With Save-Data enabled, the 3D scene stays unloaded unless you choose “Load 3D view”. That choice is held only while the component is open and is not saved as a cookie or storage preference.
The optional Google map
The interactive map connects to Google only when you choose to load it. Google receives connection information and may use its own cookies or other storage. Read Google’s privacy information. The address and ordinary directions link remain available without the embedded map.
Closing the map removes the frame but does not delete storage Google has already set. Your loading choice is not remembered on a fresh page visit. You can manage Google’s storage through your browser settings and Google’s controls.
Hosting, ordinary assets and your controls
Website fonts, films and ordinary images are served from this site. Browser caching of public assets is separate from the entries listed above. The application adds no advertising pixels or analytics trackers. Cloudflare protects the connection and may use security checks or cookies according to the checks applied to your visit; see Cloudflare’s cookie information.
You can view, block or remove cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking optional storage does not prevent you from reading the workshop’s service information. See our privacy notice for server records and your information rights.
